Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide and record the version of the waitlist notice you accepted.

Our site and service providers also process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request and routing information, and basic browser or device information. For rate limiting, Mend stores a one-way hash derived from the requesting IP address, the applicable five-minute request window, and a request count. Records whose latest window is more than 24 hours old are removed during later rate-limit processing.

If you select a day or night theme, that preference is stored locally in your browser. Mend cannot use that preference to identify you.

How we use information

• To maintain the launch waitlist and send launch-related updates you requested.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent misuse of the site.
• To comply with law and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for unrelated advertising, or use third-party behavioral advertising or analytics tools on the current site.

Legal bases

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we process your email and send waitlist communications based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time. We process limited technical information as necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, preventing abuse, and maintaining reliable services. We may also process information when required to comply with law.

Service providers and disclosure

Cloudflare provides site hosting, network delivery, security services, and D1 database storage. Cloudflare processes information on our behalf and may also process network traffic information according to its own service obligations.

We have selected Resend to deliver future waitlist and launch communications. The waitlist is not currently connected to Resend, so Mend is not yet sending waitlist data to it. We will update this disclosure when that connection is enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. We do not allow service providers to use waitlist information for their own marketing.

How long we keep information

We keep your email while the waitlist remains active and for the period reasonably needed to deliver the launch communications you requested. We delete it when you withdraw consent or ask us to remove it, unless a limited record must be retained to honor an opt-out, comply with law, resolve disputes, or protect the service.

When email delivery begins, each marketing message will include an unsubscribe method. You may also opt out at any time by emailing us.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You may exercise a request by emailing privacy@mend.app. We may need to verify that the email address belongs to you. If European or UK data-protection law applies, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

International processing

Mend is based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. The exact storage location of Cloudflare services can depend on service configuration and network operation.

Age restriction

The Mend waitlist is only available to people age 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect waitlist information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has joined, contact us and we will remove the information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Mend develops. We will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use information already collected.
